The last day of the year in the Gregorian calendar is
New Year's Eve, December 31.
It's celebrated around the world. And, although some of the specifics of
parties vary from country to country, there are lots of gatherings around the globe with friends, family
and fireworks. Some of the traditions are unique. In
celebrate by wearing red underwear for good luck. But, in Venezuela, you wear
yellow underwear for happiness. Many countries in Central and
America, including Chile and
Costa Rica eat
twelve grapes, one for each month of the year. Of course, in the United States,
we tend to make resolutions that none of us ever
seem to keep.
